Watching it now. Funny how people cant wrap their head around the concept of natural selection but will breed fish for a trait on this site lol

Funny how people can't wrap their heads around the difference between a measurable/repeatable FACT, ie "natural selection"; and an unmeasurable/unrepeatable THEORY, ie "evolution"...

PS I don't think anyone here has refuted "natural selection".

How about talking about protozoa and bacteria they they claim existed but show 0 proof. It's all well and good to spout evolution. But the fact of the matter is the conditions necessary to form a fossil are extremely rare. Add to that some of the organisms mentioned don't have any bones to preserve. On top of that they would lead you to believe they know what was swimming around In the primordial oceans. Were is the evidence. This show might as well be Prometheus. Great special effects, graphics and slightly entertaining.

Exactly my point, its all THEORIES. People just chose to believe what makes the most sense to them. No one actually has proof of how the world began.

I 110% agree. But my biggest beef with this show versus our discussion here is that show is far more influencing. People see that garbage and assume it must be true. I think Bernie Madoff is an executive producer.

Max, I blend all the stupid threads in the past that involve these topics into one big clusterbeep. Maybe it wasnt this time but it has been argued in the past

well duhhh, its a science show based on what we know, what we may know and theory as the mathematics that we have can explane. or attempt to. I can not argue that we evidence from the first single cell organisms, let alone bacteria's or viruses, but i can not argue against the carbon make up of all life as we know it, or the DNA tie in with all life as we know it, or the carbon dating of fossils.

and curious why you call it garbage?

I don't have a problem with the actual hard science. I took biology in college. What they are doing is very different. Imo I feel like they are presenting theory as fact. Just because a lot of people agree on something does not make that thing correct. Maybe I missed the disclaimer.

I can not argue that, but until some one comes up with a better theory to explane the math i am going with it.

They make a lot of assumptions but all I see is a bunch of take our word it.

Wouldn't those fingers be more useful pointed at that which must not be named?
