im here to tell ya that you can do it, that is why i said to try something most people wouldnt, cause you have the footprint most people dont. go for it, if it doesnt work you'll have one big monster running a big *** tank.
I suspect it won't be boring to watch.zorba4884;2313261; said:Id try it like u said it depends on the fish the, younger u get them the better i reckon, anything has a chance of working (personly id let the dovi be the smallest when they go in), next year im going to get a custom made 12foot tank with a dovi, jag, devil and my already owned gt,jd,fesat and oscar.

cichlid2006;2334342; said:im sorry to say but your oscars, jags and jd's are a long way off sticking the 2 largest, most aggressive and predatory cichlids in a tank which is essentially a small foot print for 2 open water preds and then adding in one fish with more balls than brains and a jag who will get owned.
an 8x3 is whole different ball game when one of those fish needs just shy of that as a minimum by itself.
dont get me wrong im normally one of the people who says that things shouldnt be shot down straight away but i think an 8x3 in this case is madness although they all have their own personalities so it could work.
