Bichir Alley
After lots of time of consideration of what my next step will be in regards to my trio of sens, I have come up with an idea I think might work.

I was thinking about running a Triple B setup: Bare Bottomed Bichir ("Triple B" is now coined. :D). I am seriously considering buying another 40Breeder. I absolutely love the one I have now, and it seems perfect for what I am going for.

My questionis, could this setup's filteration be run on sponge filters alone? I was thinking about a couple of ATI Hydro Pro #4s in particular. I am not sure if anyone has done this yet...

Thanks in advance. :)

It would depend on the stock

wouldn't be my choice of main filter but no reason it couldn't work with enough sponges and air pumps-Anne

Well, my 3 Sens.... A Delhezi... or two.

That will most likely be it...

In that case I would say ya it would
If your into sponges that is cool but if you want to you can get some really nice cheap HOBs as well:D

just throw an AC110 on there and call it good...

I agree.

Like Anne said, sponges will work, but you'll need more than one, and that is just ugly, takes away space from your bichirs, and the energy usage between teht wo air pumps probably equals the one AC 110 anyways.

Cost is the biggest issue. I'll see what I can do...

I don't have the funds to be spending over $50 on a filter anyway. I do have a 10% discount waiting for me at Petco... That could come in handy.

You can get a used AC110 on here for $40, play the haggle game if you have to in our classifieds.
