I think this could also include - your internet goes down, your phone battery dies while using the new app, your computer glitches on you and needs repairs....

Yeah. MFK goes down I am miserable.

I moved into my house 2 months ago. The entire basement now is filled with tanks. A 150g, a 90g, a 29g, and a bucket for blackworms.

I have 5 tanks. Maintenence is only about 2 hours a week for water changes/vac. (barring anything going wrong, and having to medicate/do lots of frequent water changes.....which is pretty dang infrequent with good maintenence)

3 75's, 1 55, and 1 29 gallon quarantine

The thing I've found that makes me happy is to have a few mid sized tanks instead of giant tanks. That way I have a few different setups.

I used to think that way. Now, I have a 'few' Monster-size tanks to provide for different setups on a larger scale.

You know I have been doing the same thing, but I still want that HUGE display tank still... Reading all of these posts I really feel like saying screw finishing the basement. Throw down a rug or two heat it and stuff tanks down there! What do you think?

I think go for it. It's really about what makes you happy.

I do the multiple medium tanks because I have 2 options to not make the wife kill me:
3 75s, a 55, and a 29
1 240, 1 75, and 1 29

I chose 5 tanks instead of 3 because of the species I prefer (ca cichlids). I like only keeping a single species per tank with ca's, and this allows me to keep more species. Plus, the ones I personally like only require around 75 gallons to be happy.

Well I need some of you to argue these points with the boss. I'm on the "tank acquisition" wagon and she fell off...
