Countdown for transfering my xingus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Whats your fear in tranferring them, fish get moved from tank to tank all the time, any no issues.......

Thrashing, rip fins and tail, scales flying, bumped nose, flopping on floor, shock and sudden death. I don't buy or sell fish often so I guess you can say I'm a noobie.
Tomorrows the day! I got the net in my hand going through the motions. {thinking} I have to do this.
I'm predicting that their growth will explode. At the current rate, they should be 14"-16" in 7 1/2 months from now. Thanks for the support guys.

The count down is on the moment we all been waiting for. Ken "Just Do IT like Nike" ;) eventually you will be there like me just going through the motions but you feel it and know it's time. Can't wait to check back in to see where your at.

I usually use 2 aquarium fish bags and double bag it to move my big fish. Usually minimal damage to no damage. Nets IME can surely damage the fins, scales, and nose. Good luck tommorow!

Its turkey day Ken. Whats taking you so long:) When transferring fish make sure you drain the tank about 70 to 80% and then scoop em up...way less stress on the fish and you.

Yes, today is the day. Got a late start because Hugh was giving me some last minute advice....just messing with you Hugh.
7 broko transfered. No lights to let it accilimate...don't even want to see the injuries. What is taking a long time is re-plumbing the overflow box on the 260g. I didn't like how it restricted the flow. I'm waiting for the glue to dry and refilling the tank right now. Almost Turkey dinner time so it will be a late night. Day's not over yet.
