VRWC, You'll probably get yours first. My wife is starting to question my recent tank additions. I managed to dwindle down to two running tanks. Now I have another empty one running in the garage with another one coming out of storage tomorrow. I'll have to carefully work in a tank for the Marbled Crays.

Ok. You could always do a small planted one inside the house "for her" to appreciate the beauty...and keep the marbles for "maintenance" in the tank.;)

Bravo! Problem solved. She is always talking about how nice it would be to have a planted tank. This is a win-win. I'll even let her pick out the tank! Thanks for the advice!

Hey guys, finished setting up tank... just dechlorinated it... so yea crayfish sound good those marbled ones are nice looking! saw some with blue eyes and great patterns....

so gruff i used to have some pikes years ago when i was in middles school and they are awsome cichlids! i have never owned an orange pike but on average you are looking at 12" and nice patterns... at that length it will be able to turn around great in my 140......

with him the texas, jaguar and pleco... i would call it a full tank!! i just hope the texas doesn't murder the jag..... all previous murders took place in a 75 gallon.. so big tank plus crayfish = win i hope.... i said in another thread and have read online, someone 11" claimed a 200 gallon for itself and beat up everything including a 2 foot arrowana... looking at my 140 now setup it really doesn't seem like that big of a tank and im thinking she might claim it all at only 8" roughly...lol i gotta get her out of this 75 though because my pleco has been starting to get pwned.... i need a 6,000 gallon!!!! ok time to get back to physics, take it easy guys... i'm ordering crayfish and pike tomorrow..

Good luck with the new set up, Gasha. I hope it all works out without any mass killings! If it does work it will look really nice. I look forward to the pics.

Good luck with this tank. I had a crayfish once with severums, green terrors, and a blue acara. He messed the terrors up really bad. I would watch out for the crayfish trying to murder your cichlids at night. I think lobsters would be fine but these guys are evil! I dont have experience with huge mean cichlids vs. crayfish so I hope it works out for you! I doubt the cray will try and mess with a fish twice or more its size.

SIIIICK!!!! do they require land though?? or full time water? i'm going to try to look it up later.. i got to get back to physics... just finished tank, letting it cycle with old drift wood and bio from 75 gallon, hopefully old drift wood can't drop pH or i'm gonna have to go grab some crushed coral.... anyways... my orange pike might be getting ordered tomorrow... and if the pH don't drop i might move sharkie(my pleco) into the tank... back too physics big exam wed..

I'm sure they would appreciate land but don't need it. You can find crabs that looks like those for like $2.50 at Petsmart.
The ones at petsmart require land. They are just Fiddler Crabs.
