IDK for sure, I can only assume it had to do with the small tank it was in. When I adopted him, he was 21-22" long and was living in a 48x18" 90g tank. I went to look at him he was just sitting in the tank, never seen an aro that wouldn't swim, like this guy did.:(

ooo the aro that i posted is living in a 95 right now.

That's messed up since he first offered to give it to you for free. Explain that you are helping the fish. Doing a good deed. That is messed up.
 
I know you want to do a good thing, but if you pay 100 bones for this poor beat up fish....this looser is just going to go out and get something else that does not fit in his tank and will need to be rescued. Do not pay this fool any money man. Take him for free or let him be IMHO
