I guess the seller could have made a thread also.

Thread: craigslist=drama! dumb buyers
300 miles without knowing the dimensions.

100%

I just bought a 150gal off craigslist. My tank turned out to be beautiful. However it came with five, one foot long 10yr old piranahs. They are nice but not why I bought the tank. I put them up on craigslist and Im constantly flagged. Im wondering if its someone else selling piranahs half this size, the guy I bought them from or some idiot who thinks they're illegal. Just ticks me off...

Sounds as if this seller had his equivalent in a buyer. Seriously you're complaining about the seller, yet you drove 300 miles without asking the dimensions of the tank? :duh:

Things on Craigslist just get flagged constantly. Yet really terrible posts seem to stay up.

It's against TOS to sell live animals on CL, so this usually brings out the flaggers. Try to just find them a proper home by adopting them out, instead of selling them.

Have you posted a thread here in the B&S forum?

To be fair, guys, maybe he did ask for dimensions and the seller said he didn't know, but his friend said it was a 150 gallon and his friend, like, know a lot about fish. Either way it is not fully his fault.

Reminds me of when my mom went out to adopt a Rottweiler from a guy across town. When we got there, it wasn't a rescue at all, as the CL ad said, it was just a guy in a ****ty house and he said no, he wouldn't take the dog back if it didn't work out. We should have left her there, but we were worried about what would happen to her, so we took the stupid thing. Turned out she was a huge chewer and destroyed one of our adult leopard tortoises. Never ever again.

Every time I posted a wanted add for a chihuahua, I have been flagged.

Why on earth would someone drive 300 miles if the seller didn't know the dimensions:screwy: Inexperienced buyer did not know what questions to ask and now wants to blame the seller for for his own inadequacies.

-Buyer did not know how to problem solve, :wall: hence he wasted his gas and his time.

-You guys shot your self in the foot cause you brought home an animal you did not know how to train, hence the chewed objects and the destroyed leopard tortoises. There is a show called, The Dog Whisper starring Caesar Milan. Learn dog psychology and how to properly crate your animal are you do not have eyes on the dog. If you are not watching your dog, crate it.

Two bad stories, with lessons learned.
