picked up a 40 gallon tank for free..to up grade from my 20 gallon...here is the start..i went with sand, this time never having used it before^_^

it should not cycle i did a water change on my 20 next to it and dumped the old water in ..about 10 gallons with 30 fresh dechlorinated water , rinsed off 3 filters in to it and put a sponge from my grow out tank in it...then threw the contents of the grow out int o it for now..untill the tank is up and my sculpin can have a nice lunch ^_^ (pics are a bit out of order)
i had a brand new 55 gallon HOB filter with bio wheel sitting in storage that i threw on it.
more to come! i piked up bucket loads of garnet peaces ...going to start cleaning and adding them.
any comments/constructive criticism welcome!......plants going in will be Anubis, java moss, and pennywort

Knew I'd seen something like this before, same family as the Bullhead, or as we used to call it the 'Miller's thumb'. Used to catch them in a river near Cambridge (UK) when I was a kid.................wow dementia hasn't set in yet, I can still remember being a kid!
Now, what was I doing...........
