a few shots to show how clear the tank has gotten.
these are the 3 sculpin already in the tank, ranging from just under 2 inches to about 2 1/2.

That is a beautiful tank! How do you keep algae away? All my efforts at coldwater and or planted tanks just earn me a blanket of hair and slime.

It's true what they said about the impellers, but it takes a long time to completely destroy them with fine suspended sand. It's the big grains that outright murder the impeller.

thank you so much^_^

and im not sure i just throw things in. i keep the lights on...any where from 4-9 hours a day depending on the day, and no fertilizers.

i get tufts of algae, dark green and fluffy but it does not get out of hand, if it does i take what ever its on out and scrub it..iv only had to do this twice.

and as far as the sand every other water change i pull off the filter and rinse it out in a bucket of old tank water to get out any sand that might get in there, but like i said the sand does not kick up any more, and the filter is off during water changes.

Edit:..i love your sig. lol

ok! here you go....not done but what do you guys think?
