Crawdad Trap

Me Wee ..... I have built my trap and it is soaking right now in my brothers lake. I caught a little tiny blue gill in the trap (He is now in my native tank.) but no daddies. I don't even think there is crawdads in the lake I just wanted it to soak ...

I haven't had the time to go put it in a river or creek...friday I will.

I couldn't take pics cause my wife had the camera when I was building it but when it comes out after the soak I'll take some pics and post it up.

I used the same design you did..........we'll see how mine works.

By the way. How big/small is your entry hole?

it works better if you wrap canvas in it.
they think that they have overhead coverage

Cool.... thats how big my hole is...ON THE CRAWDAD TRAP...........(we don't need anymore jokes samps LOL )


I took pictures of it last night....I caught 4 little blue gills!!!!!

Looks like there are no crawdads in the lake I was trying. Tonight she is going to the river.

I'll post the pics up tonight after work.

alright here is my trap and the spoils of the first soak.

Here is the catch. Perfect size for my tank but I just but two other blue gills in the tank and they are finally doing really good so I released these guys.

I was using dog food.

I set the trap again tonight in a stream. Only for a few hours. This little bum wasn't in the trap but next to it so I caught him with my hands.
