Is there a differenence? I am going to go looking today for a crawfish to go with my cichlids, any suggestions on a particular kind? I am not even sure if there are different kinds...

But mainly I am just wondering if its two different ways of saying the same thing or is there truely a difference?

Dont mean to post twice...but I forgot...

Also does anyone know a good place to get some in the Chicago land area? I wil lbe down by midway later today, or out in the northwest burbs?

And should I only get one? Or should I go for two? I have got a 55g...

crayfish and crawfish are the same its just accent like here we call them crawfish.

Crayfish up here.

okay I found some, now how many should I get? I am thinking just one to see how it goes, I assume they dont need groups or anything right?

crayfish MUST be kept in schools.

hahaha...actually you should only keep one.

Actually schools are better if you wanna see em fight;)

Also be careful with the fish that you are goin to put the crayfish into. They will eat live food!!

they are very territorial and can destroy live plants, also they will attack anything in the tank up to slightly larger than there own size. good luck

you notce that everyone who calls them crayfish are either from the north or the west, agian its just about where your from.
