I have a 60 gallon tank set up for 9 crawfish, They have a few goldfish as tank buddies that sooner or later become snacks. Once a week I hand feed all the crawdeads live goldfish. A couple days ago I decided to feed them a live mouse. They completly ate the mouse in around 5 hours. Has anyone fed there crawfish anything like a mouse, or hand fed them anything?

..wow that's horrible... animal cruelty much?...poor mouse.
so much fun to be drowned and shredded
*awaits the flames*

i handfeed mine all the time with all sorts of food, but a mouse seems unneccessary. u should prob make a video next time. what kind of crawfish do u have? im betting anything that u will get flamed:FIREdevil

Do you are awared that you can feed anything to crawdad.....so why the live mouse? The crawdad dont eat mammals in the wild. I can't imagine how that mouse have to go through as crayfish don't kill their prey fast.

dude thats awesome! never thought they'd eat it live though.

and how do you posters know crawfish wouldnt eat this in the wild? i mean, prolly not a live one but i'd bet money if a mouse carcase were floating down river some crawfish would eat it.

I have been feeding my Marbles, Massivore Delight, Potatos, Cucumber, Peas, Carrot, Kale, Shrimp Sticks, Algae Wafers. And they are about as blue as the Blue Lobsters you find at the LFS. I haven't gotten a Berry yet but I think that's because I have 2 of them in a 20L.

I'm sorry to say that with all the food options out their, Goldfish and Live Mice aren't on my feeding radar.

Mike

PS. Baby convicts 1/4"-1/2" long make a damn good cleanup crew in the cray tank. Their growing like weeds and I figure I'll get them out when they hit 3/4"
