Up to you at the end of the day. Your fish.

Only reason I'd advise de-clawing is to avoid internal injuries caused by the cray once their inside.

Same reason you wouldn't don't feed live mice to snakes i imagine.

Either way, I'm more a gentle giant man myself, and have never fed anything bigger then earth worms, so maybe I'm way off on this one eh?

Best of luck with it.

How is a mouse going to hurt a snake while it is being suffocated?

Its during that process the snake can be hurt. Mice scratch and bite, some have been known to kill snakes. But if ts dead and then swallowed there shouldnt be harm.

top food source. people declaw as i do because they think the claws could hurt the fish in a fight off or in the stomach. its just a precaution.

^^:screwy:^^

I feed my ball python live mice as does everybody else I've met with snakes.

I've NEVER owned a large cichlid that would turn down a nice live crayfish cichlids love them

As for removeing the claws its not really needed crays get cichlids moveing fast so they will usually avoid being pinched and they don't go down in one piece ( unless your feeding bass ) so theres very little threat of the fish getting pinched on the inside
