crayfsh as bait??

can i use crayfish as bait for catfish?
i heard its a good bait but im not 100% sure.

Live/fresh dead craws are one of the best baits out there for catfish!

Ive uses crayfish lots of times and have caughten large mouth bass,small mouth,muskie and pickerel!

[FONT=Times New Roman,Times]Hook a crayfish up through the tail, about three segments from the tip. After drifting the crayfish through fishy water, let it swing around in the current. Get ready for a hit. If you don't get a hit and the water is deep enough, work the bait toward you with a slow jerking motion. A Size 4 hook will do fine.[/FONT]

hook them throught the tail . insert the hook from the back of the tail and let it roll out
they swim backwards and this way if you reel slow looks like they's live.

thanks alot. i caught 7 crayfish yesterday and im going to try them. thanks alot.

one more thing, should i use a weight or the crayfish is heavy enough?? im a noob in fishing lol

I orefer circle hooks. Use a circle hook appropriate to the size of the craw and your game. Dont use a weight unless you are in fast current.
