Keep trying youll get some nice pounders using those. DId you use anything else today or catch anything at all?

i still use what i usually use. mealworms, garlic marshmallows, nightcrawlers, powerbait chickenblood. and now crayfish. i have been getting big hits no catches. and i have been fishing for the past 4 months and tried every lake around me besides corona lakes. the only catch i get are bluegill but they dont put up a good fight, and thats what i want. a nice fight!!!

i know in our lakes in Ontario, Canada ive caughten lmb, smb, perch, pickeral and muskie and sunfish even. its great when you get a muskie on the hook what a fight, its great! My favorite fishing though is salmon fishing now there are some fights that come with those. But ive never caughten one using a crawfish.

all you guys in dif states make sure to look up your local fishing guidelines!!!! while i did use crays when i was in hs and they truely are a temendous bait it is illegal to use crayfish here in wi. you cant even catch them and use in the same body of water. our guidelines specifically state you cant posess crayfish and fishing gear simutanously.

Very true, some crayfish species are highly localized and if a fisherman brings a different cray sp as bait he collected from a different body of water, its possible the introduced sp will push out the native species.

for catfish, use the crawfish tales. not often will you find a catfish that eats live crawfish. ive even found that big catfish in my tanks will only eat them if they are really small without claws. if you use live crawfish, more often than not, you will catch bass.

netted a dead crayfish while fishing w/ my grandpa in clove lake, ny. used it in tiny chucks as bait and the Bluegills and pumpkinseeds went NUTS.
