Craziest thing that happen at Home Depot...

*Coughs* Yeah, I was taken out by Loss Prevention, twice. As a teenager I had sticky hands. When I was 14 and working the register at a Foodtown, I got nabbed for stealing 2 cartons of cigarettes while getting cartons for a customer. About a year later it was at a Home Depot stealing a Dremel tool with a friend. Both times I had to pay a fine of under $200 and sign a waiver, you are also banned from that store for one year. I used to play "five finger discount" with my friends growing up. Luckily, I wised up when I turned 18 and got arrested for the first time. Most of the guys I grew up with are now doing or have done hard time.

It's not a citizens arrest. It's someone (probably a cop, or some type of security) that poses as a shopper. I actually had one accuse me of stealing. Stop to tie my shoe and he thought I was sneaking something into my sock. Idiot...:irked:

I wonder what are the legal implications of falsely accusing someone...

haha :)

I get followed around the stores all the time. I've been stopped by security and I've been searched(never had any stolen stuff). I guess I do look suspect..lol.. I'm kind of a big guy(6' and 230lbs)and have long hair+a lot of tattoos. It used to bother me having the "floor walkers" follow me around. I'm not a thief!!!! Well now I think it's funny. I can spot them a mile away and make a game out of it. It's funny to see how many of them I can get to follow me around :grinno:!!!! I'm one of those guys who goes to the store for a loaf of bread and walks out with a cart full of stuff and forgets the bread..So I'm all over the store looking at everything.

Lets put it this way. I have a friend who was a detective for a chain of grocery stores and would pose as a shopper in a number of them everyday. His motto was to apprehend first, ask questions later. (more like rough up and accuse) Fast forward 10 years and he cannot be anything more than a roomate and, cannot have a real job because he got his keister sued off for man handling any number of people and, anytime he gets an address or job he gets served.
