Crazy Craigslisters.....Hard to believe

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm sorry you feel so strongly about it! I admit, this was my first fully enclosed fish tank stand. It was designed with a childrens room in mind. What kind of things do you feel would improve on it? It is fully set up to contain lighting and filters, and any other tank hardware. I used marine grade wood under the cedar quarter logs, and a non toxic lacquer. Most of our items are custom order, but I love new projects! So any input on the functionality would be excellent! Except the price :( It was over $150 in materials, and just the actual building was over 10 hours.

We have done a few simple stands, with no top or sides, and shelving or drawers underneath.

Thanks for any input! :)

Lol, your welcome for the input.

Improvements in the future? Not use any of the ugly multi toned/colored cedar logs on the outside. You can use any old finish for an aquarium stand, toxic or not, it's not going in the aquarium. And as far as marine grade wood, it's a 15-20$ 20g aquarium. You could have spent 10$ at Home Depot or Lowe's on 2x4 to build the inside structure of a stand that is more than capable to hold the weight of a lil' 20g tank.

You've essentially wasted a butt load of money on expensive materials that you could have bought for under 20$ (minus the ugly two tone/colored oak since I don't know how much that material goes for) @ HD or Lowe's and wrapped those expensive materials around a 15-20$ used aquarium and expect someone to pay 250$ for it. You can't expect someone to pay for your choice of materials that were hardly necessary for a simple stand that doesn't need to hold more than 300lbs. Also, the bottom and top pieces that run the top and bottom of the tank opening with those weird circle swirls are quite ugly.

I've replaced my old fish tank with a newer one and I'm hoping to sell the old one for some extra christmas $$!

I bought the aquarium shown below from my mom's dentist a little over a year ago. It has no flaws, works perfectly! It's filter system is custom to the tank. I buy filter media from Amazonia aquarium in bulk, it saves me a bunch of money. I actually have some extra mesh to give you along with it.

The stand matches the aquarium perfectly. I imagine that the dentist bought it from a commercial aquarium dealer because it looks much more professional than what I find at pet stores.

Please excuse the murkey water in my picture, I assure you its the water and not scratched glass!

I can send more pictures if you would like, shoot me a text!

$250/obo cash only
