Personally, I'm not a fan platinum variants, especially if they are of a common species, like rtc, gars, barramundi.
I can't justify spending money like that just because of the color, or lack of.
Essentially, they are common fish that sell for $30 or less in their normal coloration, so I wouldn't keep it in my tank or waste the money to buy them.
But I understand how others may want something like this, but it's just not for me.
Same goes for short body, deformed stuff as well...yuck!
