I wouldn't think anyone was wrong for wanting to do something about this, but pyramid party hit the nail on the head. What people don't seem to understand is that the fish in the store are being treated the best they have since being in human care. Cramped conditions are nothing compared to what they've been through. They are fished, held in dirty water, no food, no temp control, rough shipping (sometimes across multiple international borders). Most don't even make it. At least in the store they have food, heaters, and some kind of filtration, with some kind of water changes. Noticeably sick ones are usually treated. If you really want to get fired up, look at what the animal has been through BEFORE it reached the store.
+1 i have always thought that not buying them in very mean. I mean put yourself in that animals shoes. If u think its cruel and u have alot of $$ then buy EVERYTHING thats malnurished!! I mean u see them in such bad conditions so rescue them!!
Isnt that the point??! Isnt that a selling tool?
Point is they make money off of fish and they lose money on keeping them.
Complain vs doing something about it

I just sent pet smart an email that was complaining about the "advice" they give there.
They said that 1 full grown Oscar could live in a 50 gallon aquarium. They thought that one comet goldfish could live in 20 gallon aquarium. they thought 2 Bps could live in a 30 gallon aquarium. But they really tricked me on the Oscar in 55 gallon aquarium one. What advice did they give u?
At a local lfs in indy they sold my friend 3 gold piranhas and they said they can live together, he took em home next day only one was alive, he went back demanding a refund and nothing. He paid 200$ for 1 fish lol
