CRAZY STOCKING??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yea thats with the test strips and chemical ones from me and 2 of my LFS so all cannot be wrong

But at the same time it is wrong to make any fish or creature uncomfortable. Thats why i change my tank around about every 2 months and as far as water because it is real cold here in memphis i have kept water change down to a minimum only once a month if not more.

If you had an decent understanding of the nitrogen cycle, you would then know why they are all wrong.

Then again maybe you one of those guys with a super nitrate consuming planted tank.

i has no nitrate in my tank over stocked not that bad tho
90 gal
2 demseys 10" and 7"
1 jag 8"
1 red devi 7"
3 convicts(2 breeding) no babies survive good thing 4" all three
1 rope fish 10"
1 common pleco 13"
1 jewel 3"
1 half eaten gold fish 4"

You has No Nitrates? That thing sounds terribly overcrowded, so I cant really believe you have no nitrates, unless you have a 500 gallon sump with 2000 bioballs. And what about aggression? none?

How do you have an overcrowded 28 gallon, do water changes at most once a month and have nitrates at 0?

I cant think of a single time Ive ever done a water test and not had some amount of nitrates in the tank.

Again...Ive never gotten a 0 level and I do 50% water changes every week.

I want to find some of the test strips and chemical test units these guys are using. If I had them I would NEVER have to do a water change!!!! :D
