As too overstocking, I have an example for everyone,my local hospital has a 400g long tank that is an african rift lake setup, That about 40-45% of the tank is composed of rockwork and driftwood, and is stocked with atleast 80 cichlids and out of that I would say half are huge (9-12''),and that is not counting the babies. So after the rock and driftwood wouldnt you say there is about 200-220g water left? And they get fed on 15 min intervals all day. Would you not say that that tank is overstocked ?? That is way more than I am doing...

That is africans, you can do that with them. not south and central americans. your actually suppose to kind of crowd africans.

Even when they are venustuses, fuscos, tyros, ect that are huge some almost as big as cen south am specimens, dont they need room also? Really seriously please repley.

ya you can with africans. that how you lower aggression in the african tanks. south and central americas you don't do this with them.

I get what you mean I have heard that too, but what I am saying is that still not overstocked and bad for fish health as to bring on disease, and bad water quality for that many large fish of any kind in such a small amount of water remember only about 200-220g water left after rock and driftwood and about 40 large fish and 40 med and small fish?

Wow, I'd you've had this set up a year and the fish are less than 10 inches. That should be the first clue that you have done something wrong.

Advice sounds like criticism if it is not what you want to hear.

What do you all think of a 7'' low grade red dragon flowerhorn,4'' cherry fh,3'' cherry fh, 6 and a half inch synspila, 6'' synspila, 4'' synspila cross, 4'' salvini, 5'' nicaraguenese, 4''carpintis texas, two 4''red forest jewels for dithers and I love their color, Oh and two new members which I couldnt turn down for the price($50) A 9'' male venustus and a 7''female livingstoni-venustus female cross????? That the male ven calls his wife? HAHAHA. All in a 125g tank they all call home. Crazy huh.

Crazy? Yes it is. I could give it a lot more descriptions but I will refrain from such.:( I am continuously amazed that people can call their tanks stocking a success when most of the fish are still at juvenile sizes. Lets see these fish work at adult sizes, though that may not be a problem if you can keep their growth stunted.:wall: I am even more amazed that those people receive good advice from others but refuse to believe it is nothing more than a conspiracy.Again I :wall: I can now see why you tell others a jag, red devil, jack dempsey and a red tiger oscar will work in a 50 gal. Again I:wall:

I dunno I do 25% water change every week, add cycle once a month, and I got fluval 405 packed with charcoal and bioballs, and a otto canister (forgot model but BIG) also packed with charcoal and bioballs, an inline 98 watt sterilizer on it.

Why would you add cycle once a month? In a properly cycled and stable tank, no additives should be necessary. Everyone I know who has been keeping fish for 20+ years like you claim wouldn't waste money on something like that.
