the line on the pikes looks a little thin, but there's no posterior ocellus, so I'd say johanna, but lugubris group pikes can be hard to tell with the undescribed species
 
Im not saying their not Johanna, but I really dont think they are. We have had juvinille johanna and they never had the little lines running all the way down their body like these. These are something special, baby pikes are hard to ID.

likewise, I'm not saying they are for sure as they don't quite look like jo's to me, either...not sp. Venezuela, though as kevin said
 
Very interesting. The faint vertical bars are very intriguing... definitely not johanna nor Vennies.

How much are they a fish?
 
John, maybe you can post them in the Crenicichla board for some more opinions? I don't know if everyone who frequents there will check the Marketplace section. Just an idea.

I'd really like to hear opinions on what they are. I'm in the market for a pike or two and it'd be nice to know.
