I've been told that's what my new pike is and since there isn't much info or many pictures on the 'web, I'm going to photograph mine at different sizes. Right now, it is approximately 10 inches TL.

What do the pits in its head look like? Do you guys think it's HITH or something else?

That thing is awsome. It looks better than it did at the LFS. I think it looks like HITH, but it looks pretty minor, and I think it will heal pretty easily.

Thanks. I'll keep on the parasite meds, then. I'm using Jungle Parasite Clear. Is there something else or something different that I should be using? What temp should I have the water at? I lost my Tapajos I to HITH and I'm not going to let this one succumb to it.

Just keep the water uber clean...Have faith. And feed very little ;)

I tried fish filet pieces to no avail and I'm not sure if it's eating any of the floating pellets, so I've got that covered, lol. I'm thinking it must have been on live. It's plenty fat enough right now, so I'm not worried. It gives me a chance to get it on pellets. Hell, my 2 lucius won't eat pellets either and I've had them for quite a while. They only like FD krill.

Looking nice and healthier then when he first arrived. I would do daily 20% water changes for about 14 days and PetCo and Poopsmart have a grannual HITH powder that I am using on the Cichla you seen in the spare 55g and it's working but my case was pretty bad! But it does work. I can't tell if that is HITH or not but I have lost a pike to this disease and I wouldn't chance it again I would do a Wc 20% daily until it all clears up. It really doesn't look like HITH though!

Yeah, it's looking a lot better. It's not near as dark as it was at the store.

I'm running out of the Jungle stuff, so I'll probably go pick up some of that. Do you know what it's called? I've been using a little salt, too.

Cool fish. I've only seen a few pics of sub adults I think (PP I think).

What were you using a parasite med for? If you think it has parasites, I would just do a treatment with prazi pro. Stuff really takes out the trash when it comes to internal parasites.

good looking pike and very nice looking drift wood!
