I would get some Melaflex! Dude I really doubt that what your seeing is hole in the head. I would rather not post picture's of my Ocellaris but when you come over I am sure some of the pitt's will still be visable. It would be a pit(s) not scratches or superficial scraps. And the stuff your using is for the wrong remedy for sure. But I have heard/read of other using this also to cure HITH or so they say. IDK? The stuff I used is a bath and it's called Hole In the Head Cure it's in a little white and yellow bottle with red writting.

I used some Mela and Pima when it was in the 40. I'll add some of that to the 55 now that it's in there. I had a Tapajos I die to HITH so I know what it looks like in advanced stages. I'll see if Fish Den has some of that stuff when I pick up the ocels.

that's what I was wondering. and I know for a fact that it was fighting cuz I saw it in the tank at the LFS fighting with oscars and others, lol. I'm also hospitalizing my mom's green sev right now and the pike was messing with it some so I divided the tank. Either way, I'll keep up with the pima, mela, salt and parasite. I hope it gets along with the smaller johanna and other fish in the 210 when it's out of quarantine.

my Fingers are crossed for you hope that goes we'll its best to introduce a pike to another pikes tank at night when its pitch black then in the moreing when the lights come on watch them closely

red and black dots going down the tail?
do you mean it will change color soon?

i haven't noticed any black ones, but there is a series of dots the same color as its "teardrop" near the peduncle

I would stay on top of the water changes. maybe use a bit of kosher salt too. Um I really dont use meds unless allelse fails. they can be harder on the fish. For now feed wat works till ur guy recovers. Nice fish tho. Best of luck to you.
