some books say over mid 80s and some say over 80.What gives evil,i want one soooo bad but am scared it will get too warm in my house this summer.Am i over thinking it?evilxyardxgnome;1506772; said:

Yes. If it gets hot, point a fan at the tank. The gecko should be fine. If theres a heat wave for a couple weeks in new caledonia, the geckos dont all drop dead

Just keep a few icepacks in the freezer and rotate them.

Most ice packs are non toxic these days I believe. The gel in them might be, I would check. Just don't put it in the tank and you should be fine.
I keep mine at room temperature in my sons bedroom - they must be happy as they are mating as I type.
