I was told by someone in the pet store to feed crickets to my silver aro and wolf fish, has anyone ever heard of this? Does it hurt the fish? Never heard of feeding them crickets

You can feed them crix. I feed my bichirs and rainbowfish crix. I heard that sometimes it makes their poop float but it hasnt happened to me. I dont think they will be very filling to a wolf fish and arro unless the fish are small. I wouldn't reccomend it as a primary diet either. But dont worry it wont hurt them and they like it.

Crickets are very high in protein and should be a good for either of those fish. I know aros like them because they will float on the top and kick to trigger a feeding response.

Crickets are an awesome treat for any FW fish, arowanas in particular. Buy the crickets a week beforehand and gutload them with carrots for even better results.

damnit i hate when people get there post in while im writing mine and now it looks like i stated then when obviously you already said (Chad)

I did not leave me alone! :hitting:

my aro will eat like 10 to 15 at one sitting!
fat bastard!

at one time i had a bluegill in a tank and a bumble bee was in my room flying up and down the tanks glass, the bluegill went NUTS trying to get the bee it was biting at the glass and ramming the sides of the tank WOW i was supprised, anyways we caught the bee and put it in a small jar with a crayfish, it was crushed and drowned........ and the moral of the story is that most fish like to eat bugs
