Really? What's your definition of crispy?

That's a good point... what's the definition of crispy. I personally have a really high standard for this. If I look through my tank toward a sunny window that's on a nearby wall, I can see tiny particulates in the water, and I would conclude that it's not quite crispy, but if I look the other way through the tank toward an adjacent book case it looks perfectly clear... almost like looking through air.

I don't think that a photo of a tank posted on a web site can really be used to tell the difference between crispy and almost crispy... they all look pretty crispy.

Come on now!!! How many times will u not have any small particules on the top of the water, not very often. If those small particules take away from ur CRISPYNESS= do a water change PLEASE!!

CRISPY is when there is NO fOG AT ALL. The fish seem to be floating in thin air. When you turn everythng off and the water is completly still, it should look like there isnt any water in the tank .

:headbang2NOW THATS CRISPY- FOLKS :headbang2

What variety of Cichlid is this? It looks great!

What turn over rate do you guys aim for? I usually go for 10-12 times per hour. For instance, my 40 Gallon has an Emperor 400.
