Remotely, as in far apart, or from a distance? No, that won't work.
Thats high risk.

One day I was cutting some holes in the top of his old cage, a tool fell through the hole and landed on the top of his hide box. He got spooked and shot out of that box, like he was shot out of a cannon, bolting across a 12' cage in a second or two, and stopping on a dime before hitting the wall. That scared the living crap out of me.

I said to myself, this guy could actually get me anytime he wants, just by me not paying attention for a few seconds.

So from that day on, I completely changed the way I feed , water and maintain his encloser.

That is why you never mess with them alone... I have almost lost fingers or worse from my blackthroat, after feeding my snakes by hand and went in the enclosure still smelling of mice and rats. He came out and charged me thinking my hands were food. Yea deffinatly a learning experiance having a 5' black throat come at you thinking you were food.:screwy:

Do you have any enclosure pics and more pics of him? He is absolutly stunning!!

No offence OP but do you actually have this animal??

Any more enclosure pics?? no just those two nearly identical pics of just its head

None taken Lp.
Yes, I actually have this animal. Here are two pics of him in his old cage.

Notice the way the tail is curled up in the first pic, this is what they do when they feel uneasy or threatened. He usually does this early in the morning when he's colder, I think he feels more vulnerable.

The second pic of him is coming out of a hide box thats six inches above ground and six inches below ground. Theres a heat mat inside the box on one side, allowing him to thermoregulate within the box.
I try to keep the box around 90 to 95 degrees.

The cage is nice but wouldnt you like to put some real vegetation in there and even some more logs, seems a bit empty space to me for a jungle species.

Thanks,
Yes I agree, I tried some big potted plants and vines early on, but he's very destructive. I working on some nice big hollowed out logs.

That has got to be the sexiest animal alive!

Much respect for taking care of that thing.
