Thanks, I don't know how many he's had but I remember seeing pics of one he posted, it was the best looking one I've ever seen, seems like it had spots on its back if I remember right.

lol... Pork Chop... I love it. Always been a fan of your threads as you share some amazing fish and pictures.

Very awesome puffer indeed.

btw - can you post some updates of your P. menarambo
Thanks man, from you that's much appreciated, miss seeing pics of your tank.

Unfortunately I lost my second group of P. menarambo to ick, had a heater malfunction and the tank dropped to 70 before I realized it, lost them all.

Haha no worries man thanks :)

Unfortunate to hear about the menarambo. They're so prone to ich and fungus, it's ridiculous :( Have you kept any other Paretroplus species?

Wonderful Cross River. I'm on the hunt for one now, but seems to be a difficult wait and see game.

Thanks man, good luck with your search.

It is ridiculous how susceptable they are to it. The only other Pare I've kept were some P. maculatus, unfortunately I croaked them along with the P. menarambo...everyone was really filling out and coloring up, very healthy fish, amazing how fast they went once that temp dropped.

If you ever get a chance, I really enjoyed the P lamena-nourisatti. I think they're just lamena now. Anyway, they are a bright orange Paretroplus. They can be fairly mean to each other and other fish, but they are really enjoyable to keep. Much hardier than most others in the genus.
