But what if i just got a jardini and a catfish and does anyone know of a catfish that gets around1-2 ft and is less than 200 usd

A vulture catfish and too many more to mention. Do some research and they shall find!!

I'm sorry, you are correct. I was thinking of the palembang, which is often referred to as the Black River Puffer. Mixed em up!

A 4" fahaka can easily bite an 8" pleco in half! No divider could hold an adult fahaka from breaking it down to get to another fish.

no probs..our chappie got us a 6/7 inch mbu..which is now at around 12 inches...and lurves his slaves..well the feeding slave anyway..

I can get wild Mbu's, Fahaka's, Congo's, etc anytime. Cross River's are proving to be very difficult though.

40 gallon? No way. A 12-14 inch puffer would need a much bigger tank.
