Cruel and unusual punishment

Anyone else think it is cruel to put 15 adult discus in a 40g tank? I tried to buy the fish only but he wouldn't sell them separate from the system.

some people just need to be shot ,as a rule of thumb i keep 1 adult per 10g ,mabe someone should lock him in a wardrobe for a few days with five others and see how he likes it?

Looks fine to me. So long as he is able to keep the water quality up to par, and the fish arent stressed....add more!! To me, I dont see that as cruel. If you think that is cruel I suggest you take a look at a commercial fish farm and their stocking practicies. On most commercial food fish farms (tilapia for example), they stock fish at rates as high as 1 pound per gallon of water!! Same goes for ornamental fish growers.

15 is a lil to much for me maybe 6 or 8 would be fine.

but i prefer to keep ONE FISH PER TANK!! or 3 per tank.

That looks very much like an ar 620 and if so its 24.4g whatever it is its not big enough water quality or not.
