Hi, i just want to know is it possible for these two to cross breed? Because i have a male cuban cichlid and female hartwegi in the same tank. Now these two started showing a sign that they start pairing. Does anyone ever cross breed these fish before? Any pics to share? Thanks.

Have not seen this cross, but it is certainly possible. Most CA cichlids can interbreed. Probably will be pretty offspring, but I wouldn't keep more than one or two for your personal collection, last thing we need in the hobby is more mixed vieja-types clouding the water.

Thanks, yeah i also not intended to crossbreed them initially but since its hard to get a cuban here so i just let them be but i am not intended to keep all those offspring. They are much beutiful as it is. Will update if the fry survive
