Well, it appears to be getting worse. I have been doing wc and salt but not much good or help. I also dnt wana throw a bunch of exspensive meds at it. Might end up putting her out if it gets to bad with no positive id on what it is.

Then the fish will die. It looks to be bacterial. Antibiotics is not really expensive; but if you are not willing even to try antibiotics because of money, maybe you should not be keeping fish.

i think he's more worried about the meds making things worse for the fish than the fact that they are expensive.

He said it, not I.

I don't think it is going to be worse for the fish. The only reason I would worry about using antibiotics at this point is his filters but from earlier posts he has isolation tanks. I would dose it there and see. The fact that salt and raising temperature seems making things worse suggest a bacterial origin.

he is saying that he not just going to be different medications when he can buy the right one

Thanks jose. Exactly im not going to stick a bunch of costly meds at an issue that hasnt been identified yet. Also meds arnt always good for fish so.i only use when i have to....and lol ive probebly kept more fish at a single point then most will keep in their lives...maybe i really shouldnt keep fish!

So i spoke with my buddy dan(cichluvr) from coa. He says that these are snail eggs that imbeed in the skin. Treating with aquarisol and coppersafe now. Should still be safe for the ghost knives and such. I will let people know how it goes.
