Or just a small bucket a little bleach and water does the trick too , if wanting a very quick death. Dont use it on a tank as it will kill most everything and the beneficial bacteria too.

It is pretty much a fact, that if you put them in the freezer they will fall asleep quickly and dream dreams that only fish can dream. When they finally wake up the giant grouper in the sea will let them swim with all fishes that have passed. They will all be in harmony with each other. There glass cages broken and suffering gone. The piranhas and the guppys will be buddys. The goldfish that gave there lives for food will swim in peace with those that devoured them. And they will all swim happily ever after. SURPRISED YOU DID NOT KNOW THAT.

There are a couple of extensive threads on fish euthanasia - clove oil or destroying the brain instantly is the most humane way. Freezing is not a good idea.

Clove oil is about the most humane, its like an overdose of anesthetic.

Dude don't got to be all complex with it brother Small fish you feed it to a big fish. Don't got a big fish? Take it out smack it with a rock, stab in the head with a knife. Big fish stab it in the head too. Although really no reason for a big fish. If you have been irresponsible up to that point your as$ should have to suffer and raise that fish! If you are into hybrids and you do not have the heart or the balls to cull unwanted or deformed fish. Than you should stay out of the breeding game all together and leave to business to those that do! Enough said
