so i've been wondering about culling. what exactly is it? is it when the breeder takes out the unwanted fries so the others can grow? when breeding flowerhorns when should i start culling or what should i look for when i cull? any advice is much appreciated

lol thank you very much. in all honesty, i thought it was when breeders just took them out of the tank because they didnt want them anymore and did whatever they wanted with them. and any ideas on when it is an appropriate time to start culling?

alright thanks. thats usually around the .5" or 1" mark im guessing? i havent seen too many fries to see their coloring or flowerlines at that age. this is going to be my first time breeding
Culling is removing fish with undesirable traits from the breeding group.

that is exactly what culling is i like to wait a little longer when it comes to flowerhons because you really do not know what u will exactly get. when it comes to fh early culling i think at .5+- is for deformities all other kinds at that size is fine imo
