I was 4 and my Dad had a small bowl with 3 gold fish (he said it was for me, but I think he really wanted it). They died after a week after a 100% water change from the tap with no conditioner. I guess that could technically be my first fish, but I remember actually taking care of some bettas (those I considered my first fish).

7th Grade science class, we built biospheres with Comet goldfish if i remember correctly, after the project was over we got to take them home. Now that i think about it, they didn't last more than a year. (

Domino damsel, I had it in a 25 it killed every other fish I put in the tank. This was really more my Dad's tank to. My first fist was a tomato clown still have it.

when i was 12 i got my first fish tank, it was a 20g planted with angels,silver dollars and bristel nose. Had no idea about cycling a tank,PH etc.... Set the tank up,added water add drops and added the fish, The only fish that died was a BN that jumped. Had the tank for about a year.

The first fish my dad got for me that I had in a tank in my room so were in theory mine were White Cloud Mountain Minnows.(Tanichthys albonubes) had them in a plastic tank so could not break it. Think i was 8
