So I calculated how much I've spent on my current stock:

1x black arowana=$87
3x goldy L14 pleco= $105
1x flagtail= $30
4x indo datnoids= $39
1x indo datnoid= $30
1x indo datnoid= $20
$311 total:screwy::screwy::screwy:

Seriously I had no idea I had spent this much on my stock. I usually buy a fish every few months here and there, but when you add it all up...

How much have you spent on your current fish stock?

I can't believe you're shopping for fish at petco and walmart when you live close to the wet spot. :screwy: :grinno:

Seriously, that's not THAT bad. I know people who spend more than that on one fish. Blue eyed plecos? Asian arowana? Crazy people.

Ask some Aussies how much they spend on some species we get for next to nothing.

The Walmart one was me "saving" it. I stopped buy this Walmart in Eugene everyday for a month and they always had this one 1" parrot in a tank by itself. Each time I would visit it it would get more black from stress and the last time I visited it had a bad case of ich so I said **** it and brought him home and now hes happy and healthy 6 months later.

As for the Petco and Petsmart it was when I first started seriously keeping fish, we rarely ventured outside of Albany so I had to make do with what we had. The 1" parrot I have now I didn't purchase, it was one of those gift fish. I love Wetspot though but now we have a new lfs.

;) I was just giving you a hard time. I have "rescued" a lot of my fish from pet stores. I recently got a 5" clown loach being kept in a 30 gallon by himself with nothing but a rock and some angelfish in the tank (:irked::banhim:). He is very happy and healthy in my 125 gallon now. :headbang2Hopefully he is not stunted, and will enjoy a happy healthy life with my other clowns.
