Custom 75 gallon, will an oscar be happy?

Really, you have to think ahead; when your oscar grows big, he can live in it, but really, will he be that happy? The answer is unfortunately not, sorry. Sometimes in the hobby we have to resist purchases. Listen: I have craved oscars for YEARS AND YEARS! I swear I will have an oscar one day, but I don't have a tank large enough. Wait for the right time, and you will enjoy your fish to a filler extent. I know it's hard, but it will be worth it. :) Good luck.
 
4 ft is better, but I used to have a 56 gallon that was only 3 ft long. I kept a 12 inch Oscar in it for a long time and he was very happy. Not as good as a standard 75, but he should do okay.
