I'm currently debating whether or not just to get a custom aquarium instead of a 90g. The measurements I have chosen fit exactly in the space I intend to put the tank in.

I was also wondering if anyone could tell me what the amount of gallons the aquarium would be, using the given measurements:

60" x 30" x 30" so, 5' x 2.5' x 2.5' - My personal guess would be 130g, I could be wrong though.

It will cost more than the originally planned 90g setup, hence the reason I posted this thread; to find out if it's worth the extra $.

get the 60 x 30 x 30, its roughly around 230 gallons.

you can also calculate gallons using that calculate tab at the top of this page. pretty neat huh?

Without a doubt you will be more happy with the wider tank. In a 30" wide tank you have much more options that a 18" and it will be worth it. If you go for the 90 you will always wonder how much better the other tank would be until you end up getting it anyway

why is this a tough choice? lol

What are you going to stock? I wouldn't expect the custom tank to allow you to keep enough large aggressive fish to justify the expense since it is still a 5' tank, however if keeping smaller less aggressive fish it would be great. The extra depth really opens a lot of options for aquascaping.

I never noticed that, thank you :D
