I'm sorry to read the the OP's fish is getting out of control . . . mine has been relatively calm, especially since he paired up with a female convict . . . they've made one corner of the 90G "their" space, but they don't bother anyone outside of it . . .

Your texas looks like he has some flowerhorn in him. With the faint flowers on his side and the red like sarah said.

Update, I ended up not able to go to my lfs. So he is spending the night in the 29g quarantine. Maybe if he miraculously some how comes around and is active tonight I'll consider keeping him. As of yet, he is gone tomorrow.
 
sounds like the right call . . . no point disrupting your whole set-up for one fish

I did the same thing with the last "Texas" I owned, for similar reasons
