Get a couple of 250 ml bottles of Seachem Stability.....shake well and add, a couple of days apart.

I already have been adding that, as well as prime.

Here we are, about 2 weeks later. Ammonia reading at about .25 and Nitrates still at 5, finally making good progress and only 1 casualty in the process. I am pretty pleased and have learned a lot in the process.

The process seems to take forever, doesn't it? Just one casualty is pretty good considering all that tank has been through.

I know I am so relieved, I would tests everyday, sometimes twice, before and after water changes. And to be honest, I am so tired of changing water everyday, I'm not looking forward to seeing our next water bill lol
I just hope I don't have to go through this with my 30 gallon, but haven't had near as many issues with that one.
