Cynotilapia afra (Jalo Reef)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just picked up my 75 gallon tank today, it's oceanic but need to be re-sealed. Came with filter lights heater blah blah blah. I will take a million photos through out the entire process that someone somewhere might enjoy looking at.

It will house 20 Cynotilapia* afra's from jalo reef and maybe a large syn cat. That will all happen later of course.

The substrate is going to be silica sand (white) and the filter is a magnum 220 canister. Ton's of nice lights and other goodies such as a RO unit! Lot's of coral life items.

Updates with pictures coming soon!

mag 220 is not enough filtration for a 75. look at adding some sort of HOB or maybe even *gasp* a sponge filter or 2

nic eto see a few more people from iowa on here lately

What about one of those dr. f and s filters. The one rated for 75 gallons? that and the 220 should be great right?

I also have a Hot mag.

I am going to use the hot mag to cycle the tank with some sacrificial har rasboras. Then probably add an emp 400 or a F and S bio filter.

i really like the aqua clear HOB filters. i run 2 of them and a mag 350 on a 75.

i am not sure what part of the state Union is in, but if you are relatively close to Omaha, Mike at fish freaks has the best price on AC filters i have seen in a long time
