Like I said, cynotilapia afra is the species, but there are about 18 different collection points in the lake, and they all look a little different depending on where they were taken from. Making sure the male has enough females (too few and he will eventually kill them) and good water are about the only two things you can do to increase your breeding chances. Mbuna are pretty easy to breed. And once they start, they won't stop (in my experience). I have six species in my 125 and I'm stripping fry about every other week.
