Thanks for the words of interest, support, and congrats all! I'll post some pics and other info in the near future; yesterday was a crazy busy day to say the least! all that being said, the defense went well (thanks for your take on it too Richard!) and it was great to share my research with my family and many friends and colleagues (Richard was of course there and referenced several times as well as appearing in various photos in the presentation) - i passed (the closed-portion where my committee grills me with questions) so that was nice too!--
