:D what kind of fish get along with jack demspesys

my jd was satan spawn, he wouldn't let me put anything with him, especially since he was 7 inches already and the lfs never had fish bigger than 3 inches. i finally decided to do a pair, so i found a small 2 inch female out of the bunch, put her in a grow out tank, then introduced her to my 75 where my bigger jd had claimed himself the king of the tank. they fought a bit at first but then since i let her get to a big size they paired up nicely. i also added a spotted raphael catfish before, the jd can't really get past the armored little guy so i guess he's fine as well.
 
my raph cat and my jd are buddies :D u just happen to have one to :) I love the little raph cats they squeak a lot tho XD
 
I still need a few more suggestions because my jd will kill all the fish u guys suggested I need like a big fish that has armor or something or else he kills it if he cant kill the fish he makes them his buddy :D

they can be kept with cichlids bigger then their size.put a 10inch devil or Texas or flowerhoen it will work.but tank has to be big they can also kill Dempsey .Dempsey r not very aggressive that they will kill every fish.u r saying ur dempsey will kill all fishes we told.have u tried to put a fish bigger than it.it can be aggressive but nit that aggressive .put a big jag.I bet it wouldn't be killed

I was saying because he said they his Dempsey will kill all fishes we recommended.I think these were some of the toughest cichlids

I know lots of people go against this but sometimes you can get them together fine if you slightly overstock the tank, but sometimes it just turns into a blood bath....:barf:
 
Dempsey work fine in a community tank but there should be some fishes bigger and tougher than Dempsey
