Wait till it starts getting dark get a plastic worm lure cast it along the bank about 2 feet off the bank slowly reel it in reel so slow that you feel the bottom of the pond normally large bass sit around this area waiting on crayfish, minnows, frogs and bugs
thats what i would say too

I don't know what kind of toad lure you have, but you can't go wrong with a Zoom Horny Toad, or a Scum Frog if you're having trouble hooking him.

Make sure you post pics when you catch the hawg!

I have got to see what's in there! Call Jeremy wade, this sounds like a monster!

you catch this thing yet?

Hey Troppond, I live about 5 minutes from Westfield so if you ever need some help landing this monster, I'd be happy to help. Good luck either way man. Also, just so you know, our state record for large mouth bass is 14 lb 12 oz., caught in 1991 by Jenifer Schultz. Hope you break it!

It was a 30 pound carp that looks like a submarine, still doesn't explain the hit on the surface that I saw...

... Yes it does.

Carp do a lot of jumping and splashing, especially this time of year.

Yup.
