damn coyotes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know how you all feel, I used to live on a 300 acre farm and around us was about 2,000 acres of farmland, so we had plenty of room for coyotes. But ours was around packs of 12-15 not small packs, and one year we had a drought and the coyotes were worse than ever, so what we did was wait untill nighttime leave a few humane traps and cought them all and like let them go a few miles away. Once the drought was over there were less coyotes on our farm. And well coyotes will do about anything to get a meal....so I suggest keep your dog outside don't let it out past 5:00pm thats when they will come out tell you neighbors the same thing. Call the wildlife service.

Dont let your dog out at night, but if you need to, be out there to watch and bring yur dog in immediately after it does its business. Dont take your eyes off your dog either. What you can do is try to take it into your own hands and try and kill off coyotes that are being pests. If not, then leave it up to others to do this.

Also, coyotes get spoooked easily. Even a group of them will be scared of a big adult. I use to ride a bike at ngiht coming home from work and I use to ride in some back streets and there would be groups of them. They would just look at me and were a bit nervous when they'd see me. When they are in groups, if they size a target up and the target is small, they will think you are prey. But mostly, coyotes are afraid of people.

Scare them away by making funny faces?

Get a loud speaker and yell at them, that usually scares everything off.

the city is going to tranquilize the coyotes and relocate them and keep one or two of them to see were they came from they look like the one shown below
