Both of the Sens are on Cobalt Flakes and NLS. They're also very active, although rather shy.

I cleaned up most of the algae yesterday, although there is a bit of dead algae left (light brown fluff on substrate), as the algae grows in layers, and with each new layer, the old one dies and leaves the brown fluff. I was able to sneak in a few pics of one of the Sens while it was on the newly cleaned substrate before it darted away (They're still somewhat shy of me).

To give an idea of how small these Sens are, the NLS they're eating is 1mm.

Thanks. The 16g is about the best tank they could be in atm. The nitrates are always 0, but I still do %70-80 water changes every other week to maintain the hardness.

I do 70 a week regardless of stocking for hardness reasons. I have soft water so the PH dips quickly if I'm not careful

I do co2 in my 16g, so pH will be low regardless.

No, I switch on the aerator on at night. I leave the co2 on for about 8-10 hrs a day. Aerator for the rest of the day and during night.

J jaws7777 any thoughts on how long it will take to grow them out?

Sens are slower growers apparently. Good food and clean water makes for quick growing fish
