Angelphish Angelphish is this tank your 210g? The one with no lid?
The 16 and 210 don't have lids. The water level in the 210 is always 2" below the top, and it has a eurobrace, so it would be more difficult for the Polys to jump. Along with that, most of them are lazy. The Sens and Koliba sit on the bottom, the Ropefish hides in a clear tube I got for the Black Ghost Knife, and the Ornate always hides under the driftwood.

My water is also 2 inches below the lid, and my Delhezi still hits it every once in a while just going up for air, not even trying to jump.

Your polys may seem lazy, but all it takes is something to spook them and Bam they're on the floor.

I'll step off my soapbox now. I'm happy you got something for the smaller tank but you really should secure every single gap.

Bro just an advice, never underestimate a poly, they didnt earned the name escape artist for no reason, my congi jump a few times already when im doing WC, and it always attempts to jump everytime.
Congi got out of the tank even the water is fin level so 2" is nothing to them.
Like clm08k clm08k mentioned get a stryrofoam ot wrap the top with surround wrap or something till you get a lid. Dont wait till you lost a vailable poly.
You mentioned any kind of poly are rare in you state, so dont take any chances, just an advice to you.

They will jump eventually with no lids.

While I was at PetSmart to get another Sen, I also get a glass lid for the tank. It was a folding style lid, so it had a plastic hinge in the middle. The hinge blocked the light from my kessil since it's a pendant light, so I removed the hinge and was left with two pieces of glass. They don't fit perfectly, but they're a lot better than having no lids at all.

dang bro! Kessels are nice! Which one do you have?

No I hear ya with the glass lids. I'm not a fan of them either. Very proud of you for biting the bullet and getting one anyways. Your polys will thank you :)

Your tank looks awesome btw with the drift wood. and Staurogyne I think that is?

Udon is so cute. It makes me giggle that she bumps her head sometimes.

I know I didn't have a real lid for a while, but I'm glad I have it covered. These polys just get spooked and don't even know what's going on. My moke freaked out and started bumbling around the tank. It jumped yesterday and hit the acrylic and it scared me. Really glad I had the lid weighted down.

I have an a160we tuna sun and a controller. I really like it, and so do the plants. I have Monte Carlo, S. Repens, Rotala Wallichii and Macrandra, Alternanthera Reineckii, and a mystery species of grass. The tank just got over blue green algae, so the plants are still growing in. Half the plants are new, and the other half are recovering from the algae. The shells are from the Sens. They eat the snails that die from getting sucked onto the circulation pump intake.
